Exhibit from Hirofumi Kera’s “UZU” Sado Island Galaxy Art Festival 2020
Created for an art festival held on Sado Island, where Hirofumi Kera spent his childhood and youth. The piece draws on aesthetic sensibilities shaped by nature and performing arts, incorporating Sado’s traditional craft—Shichinari baskets—into a striking sculptural form. This headpiece embodies a dialogue between heritage and contemporary expression, merging local artistry with modern design.
