SHE WEARS THE MIRROR Jun Nakamura
Everything we see exists through light reflected from its surface.
Light becomes visible only through reflection.
Holographic surfaces destabilize that visibility.
By applying it to the face, this makeup
destabilizes “impression” itself.
By layering an iconic accent —
one that anyone can recognize —
the work makes dissonance itself visible.
SHE WEARS THE MIRROR
Everything we see exists through light reflected from its surface.
This work treats reflection not as metaphor, but as material.
If visibility depends on reflection, then makeup becomes an intervention into that condition.
