Hirofumi Kera, Shiseido's Chief Artistic Director, was in charge of hair and makeup for Yuima Nakazato's show that was presented at Paris Haute Couture 24-25 AW on June 26.

Continuing from the previous collection, Nakazato also created the costumes for this one, and the theme was based on the opera "Idomeneo." The delicate lace dresses spun with bright red threads that looked like blood vessels in the human body gave the collection a mysterious and dramatic impression. (Kera)

Hair & Makeup Details

The hair was styled in a simple slicked-back look, with a slightly wet, glossy texture that gave it a rough, combed appearance. The models started with next to no makeup, but as they changed costumes, I applied red paint to their faces and bodies. The day was filled with tense, make-or-break situations when applying the makeup because the timing for the costume changes was so tight. I had to modify my brushes and devise a way to express a light touch in a subtle way." (Kera)
