Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO took place from March 16th to 21st, 2026.
n this article, we present a report on "WHiTENOOK," which was held as a featured showcase recommended by China International Fashion Week, with Jun Nakamura serving as the Lead Hair & Makeup Artist.

WHiTENOOK is an up-and-coming brand from China.
Their designs are simple yet incorporate clever gimmicks. To complement this, the hair and makeup were intentionally streamlined, focusing on minimal elements to naturally draw attention to the intricate details of the clothing.
The foundation of the look is a simple low ponytail. However, we introduced a sense of "intrigue" and a slight visual disruption through the rough, textured movement of the fringe (bangs), ensuring the overall look leaves a lasting impression when viewed as a complete silhouette.

Hair & Makeup Features

Makeup: Using Clé de Peau Beauté foundation, we achieved a finish that balances transparency with flawless coverage. We then applied the newly released SHISEIDO Color + Glow Enhancer to create a slightly bold contour. This approach strengthens the model's presence while maintaining a "no-point" (natural) makeup aesthetic.

Hair: To ensure the design around the face remained intact during the runway walk, several strands of the fringe were secured to the face using eyelash adhesive. This technique allowed us to maintain the specific design around the face without relying on heavy styling products, preserving a natural texture.
