[TAAKK]2025 SS Collection at Men's PARIS Fashion Week Report

In June 2024, Teruaki Shinjo served as chief hair and makeup artist for "TAAKK" at the 2025 Spring/Summer Men's Collection in Paris.

TAAKK SPRING/SUMMER 2025

TAAKK was launched by designer Takuno Morikawa in 2012 and features clothing that incorporates an innovative approach to fabrics and materials.

The theme and inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2013 (2025?) collection was “youfuku,” a word created with the arrival of Western clothing. The brand's typical gradated weaved fabrics were further evolved, and decorated with beautiful curved embroidery reminiscent of Art Nouveau, showing the delicate sensibility of Japanese aesthetics. In line with this, the show examined the essence of clothing through a Japanese lens.

Hair & Makeup Details

What I wanted to express was strength yet fragility. Taking the original landscape that influenced Morikawa as its starting point, the looks were inspired by the sensitive male image of the current era while incorporating classical flourishes.

For the makeup, four eye shadow colors were used to match the models and their clothes to express a soft sweetness. In addition, silver glitter was applied to the eyes and hair to add a romantic touch. The hair was styled wet with irregular waves. The starting point of the waves was purposely shifted to create flat waves, creating a small sense of discomfort while also adding a lightness to the hairstyle. (Shinjo)
