Tokyo’s Emerging Designers’ “Paris Fashion Show” Hair and Makeup

On January 25, a fashion show was held at the Palais de Tokyo, a museum located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Hirofumi Kera served as Hair Chief, and Chihiro Toyoda served as Makeup Chief for the show.

The fashion show featured 13 groups and 14 emerging designers who were winners of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government–sponsored fashion competitions, the “Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo” and the “Sustainable Fashion Design Award” for the 2023 fiscal year.
The show direction was led by Kunihiko Morinaga of ANREALAGE, attracting significant attention from professionals across the fashion industry.

Hair:
As many of the designers presented highly distinctive and expressive headpieces, the hairstyles were kept simple and sharp, carefully tailored to complement each model’s individuality.

Makeup:
The makeup focused on smoky eyes to create a strong and impactful impression. The complexion was enhanced with a soft flush of natural color, combined with shading and highlights to add dimension. The result was a refined, sophisticated finish, with each element blending seamlessly into the skin.
