In January, SHISEIDO Chief Hair and Makeup Director Hirofumi Kera was in charge of the hair and makeup for the YUIMA NAKAZATO show presented during Paris Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2026.

YUIMA NAKAZATO Couture Spring/Summer 2026 “SILENT”

The theme for this season was “SILENT.”
In harmony with the dresses woven with ceramic elements hand-molded by Yuima Nakazato himself, makeup was created using ceramic-like parts, developed by applying second-skin techniques.
The show took place at the American Cathedral Church, where, in complete silence, the sounds produced by ceramics colliding resonated throughout the space. This striking contrast created a deeply memorable experience, enveloped in a sacred and serene atmosphere.

Hair and Makeup Highlights

In accordance with the texture of the dresses crafted from interwoven ceramic elements, the skin was finished with a slightly foggy, translucent quality. SHISEIDO Color + Glow Enhancer was softly blended onto the high points of the cheeks to add subtle luminosity.
Ceramic-like parts, created using applied second-skin technology, were placed at the inner brows, with gold leaf delicately applied to their surfaces to harmonize with the texture of the dresses. White aqua color was scattered using a splattering technique, adding a dreamlike impression to the overall look.
