[ZUCCa] 2027 SS Collection Runway Report

At the ZUCCa Spring/Summer 2027 Collection runway show held at Sogetsu Hall on July 28, Teruaki Shinjo served as the chief hair stylist and Reiko Ito served as the chief makeup artist.

ZUCCa Spring Summer 2027

Founded in 1988 by Akira Onozuka, ZUCCa gained wide acclaim for its designs that infuse everyday wear with humor. Following a period of team-led design after the founder's departure, Kengo Baba was appointed as the new designer starting with the Spring/Summer 2026 season, introducing a fresh perspective to modern everyday attire.
Staged at Sogetsu Hall against the backdrop of Kenzo Tange’s architecture and Isamu Noguchi’s stone garden, the SS27 show was presented under the theme "PRODUCTS & CRAFTS." The collection showcased elevated, rich everyday wear that harmoniously blends functional beauty with the warmth of handcrafted technique.

Hair & Makeup Features

Hair:
Designed around the theme "Playful Dry/Wet Texture," the hair featured a dynamic mix of contrasting textures to create focal points.
Rather than overly structured styling, the focus was placed on an effortless, relaxed nuance with just the right amount of ease. By incorporating accent texture blends and applying a wet finish around the face and on top layers, the look achieved a breezy, seasonal lightness perfect for Spring/Summer.

Makeup:
Embodying the key themes of sophistication, refined quality, and modernity, the makeup featured a cohesive orange-brown monochromatic palette. Elevated by accents of silver-colored false eyelashes and subtle body paint, the look expressed a dignified, captivating strength.
