Yumiko Kamada served as the chief hair and makeup artist for the kimono fashion show "2023 TOKYO KIMONO COLLECTION" held at Muromachi Mitsui Hall in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, on September 30. The purpose of the event was to present kimono, a Japanese cultural asset, in the latest fashion styles.
This year, the brands JOTARO SAITO designed by Jotaro Saito, KIMONO AONOKOUBOU by Yasuo Aono, and Tonami Orimono, which made its first appearance at the TOKYO KIMONO COLLECTION, presented their works.

JOTARO SAITO
The sight of the model strolling down the pink carpet was enough to make anyone look twice.
Makeup: Matte red lips that exude feminine beauty and a peacock-colored or warm-red eye makeup look that strongly conveys the individuality of the model.
Hair: A dainty wavy chignon, gorgeously rolled up. A glamourous hairstyle with black tulle covering the face for a sense of mystery and bejeweled clips pinning the hair in place.

Tonami Orimono

Makeup: Softness expressed with coral used for the eyes, lips, and cheeks.
Hair: The soft up-do style creates a dignified impression.
