Kouichi Monma Wins the Creative Award in the Model Category of the NHDK Photo Contest 2025

The work I created this time was inspired by anime, with the aim of expressing the concept of being “consumed” by hair through hair and makeup. I went through a lot of trial and error to create the gravity-defying flow of hair that clings upward, but I was finally able to realize the image I had envisioned. I would be delighted if viewers could imagine which anime inspired this piece as they look at it.

I am deeply honored to have received both the Grand Prize and the Judges' Awards simultaneously. This achievement was only possible thanks to the support of everyone involved in the shoot, and I am sincerely grateful to them. Encouraged by this experience, I will continue to refine my skills and aim for even higher levels of hair and makeup artistry in the future.
