[ALAINPAUL] 2026 AW Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO Report

The theme for this season is "RÉPERTOIRE." The show was presented as a Tokyo-edition reinterpretation of the collection originally unveiled in Paris.
The concept draws inspiration from the world of ballet, where "repertoire" signifies a cross-sectional framework for understanding a body of work spanning from classical to contemporary dance. Taking cues from this, the collection focuses on layers of time—where contexts from the past are updated and reconnected to the present.

Hair:
To create a deliberate sense of asymmetry and edge, the hair was styled with a mysterious, striking volume, as if caught in a sudden gust of wind. For all models, backcombing was applied firmly from the roots in the same direction, then secured with hairspray to achieve bold, dynamic movement.

Makeup:
To complement the diverse elements inherent in the garments, such as their fragility and strength, the makeup was intentionally designed to deconstruct conventional beauty.
To accentuate the unique bone structure of each model, variations in shading were created using eyeliner and eyeshadow to produce an uneven, mottled depth. This approach artistically expressed a powerful, raw sense of humanity.
